Morocco Eases Entry Rules for Travelers Who Left China a Week Ago

Morocco has just updated its health protocol for travelers from China. According to the National Airports Office of Morocco (ONDA), passengers who left the country seven days before their arrival can enter Moroccan territory.
A few days ago, the kingdom announced the ban on access to its territory for all people coming from China, where Covid cases have exploded in recent weeks. This measure, which took effect on Tuesday, January 3, remains in effect until further notice.
However, ONDA has slightly revised its decision, indicating in a press release that passengers who left China seven days before their arrival will be allowed to enter Moroccan soil.
This exceptional measure has been taken in order to avoid a new wave of contamination in Morocco and all its consequences, explained the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressing that it in no way tarnishes the sincere friendship between the two peoples and the strategic partnership between the two countries, to which the Kingdom remains strongly attached.
