Morocco Eases COVID-19 Entry Requirements for International Tourists

At the insistent request of tourism professionals, the government is easing the conditions of access for tourists to Morocco. In addition to the removal of the serological test, the required time for the PCR test will be extended to 72 hours, instead of 48 hours currently.
The demand for a more pronounced easing of these measures comes from tourism operators, particularly those based in Marrakech and Agadir. They are being heard by the government with the assurance of their very soon implementation, a government source confides.
This extension of the PCR test deadline seems reasonable given the increasingly longer turnaround times for obtaining results from analysis laboratories in Europe, particularly in France, Morocco’s leading source of tourists.
This easing of access conditions to Morocco comes to give hope to tourism professionals, determined to save the winter season, they who have gained nothing from the summer period.
Pending the launch of new point-to-point air routes, the CEO of RAM has promised to open four new European lines linking Marrakech.
