Morocco to Ease COVID Entry Requirements for Air Travelers

Morocco is preparing to remove the requirement for a vaccine pass or PCR tests for travelers at airports. The decision could be made before June 15, the start date of the Marhaba operation.
The new health protocol that will soon come into effect will consist of presenting either a valid vaccine pass or a negative PCR test of less than 48 hours and not both, reports Le360, citing a government source.
"The agreement for the removal of the requirement for a negative PCR for vaccinated people coming to Morocco, via national airports, is already recorded," notes the same source, adding that the announcement of the lifting of this measure could even take place "within the next fifteen days". And in any case, it will come into effect before the launch of the Marhaba operation, it assures.
This measure aims to facilitate the stays in the country of millions of Moroccans living abroad and to ease the conditions of access to the kingdom for foreign tourists. It will also help promote and regain the tourist attendance rates that were observed in the months preceding the pandemic, the professionals had stressed.
