Morocco Develops Economic Recovery Plan Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The Economic Monitoring Committee (CVE) is preparing a plan for the recovery of the Moroccan economy. A videoconference meeting was held for this purpose.
The Economic Monitoring Committee (CVE) is concerned about the recovery of the national economy. Work on the development of a recovery plan that incorporates sectoral recovery plans has been launched. The CVE stated that the overall recovery plan will take into account the specificities of each sector of activity. The restart phase specific to each sector will be integrated.
The Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform indicated in a press release that the members of the CVE have laid the fundamental foundations of the overall plan for the recovery of the national economy. To support the recovery of large companies, long-term financing solutions, with a reduction in payment deadlines, will be examined by the next CVE. The same will apply to SMEs and VSEs in various sectors of activity.
Regarding the promotion of local content, the next CVE meetings will focus on the demand stimulation mechanisms to be put in place for the recovery. The press release specifies that the members of the CVE have reported on the format and content of the sectoral plans which must reflect the specificities of each sector.
