Morocco Deploys Mobile Speed Cameras in Northern Region to Boost Road Safety

The National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) announced the launch of speed control operations with embedded radars in the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region.
The operations started last Thursday, June 27. This new mobile radar installed on board vehicles of the National Road Safety Agency allows to control the speed of users in real time.
This new technology will be used on the main roads inside and outside urban areas in all the prefectures and provinces of the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, we learn. The measure is part of the regional road safety action plan for the period 2023-2026.
To recall, these radars had been deployed by NARSA at the end of February in the Fès-Meknès region. They aim to fight against speeding, the main cause of fatal accidents in Morocco.
