Morocco Demands France Distance Itself from Algeria for Macron Visit, Report Says

Morocco has set conditions for an official visit by French President Emmanuel Macron. This is what a journalist from Le Figaro believes he knows.
Will Emmanuel Macron visit Morocco in the very near future? According to the Le Figaro journalist, Georges Malbrunot, Rabat is conditioning a possible trip by the French president. Its condition is that France "distance itself from Algeria" with whom its relations have recently deteriorated.
On February 8, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had recalled his ambassador to France, Saïd Moussi, "for consultations" following the French services’ exfiltration of Franco-Algerian activist and journalist Amira Bouraoui, who was subject to a ban on leaving Algerian territory, from Tunisia to France. Would Paris accept Rabat’s conditions? The time seems right for France to distance itself from Algeria.
