Morocco Debunks Rumors of Biometric Marriage Certificates and Vaccine Passports for Weddings

The photo of a biometric marriage certificate widely circulated on Moroccan social networks and some media is false, according to the Ministry of Justice. This is also the case for the requirement of a vaccine passport for the celebration of a wedding.
In a clarification, the Ministry of Justice reassured Moroccans about the inaccuracy of this rumor that Morocco has adopted a biometric marriage certificate. "The Ministry of Justice has not adopted any biometric marriage certificate," an authorized source from the Justice Department said, stating that "the circulating photo is false."
The same source also denied a rumor circulating on social networks, according to which the "Ministry of Justice had decided, through the family courts, not to approve the marriage certificate for couples not vaccinated with at least two doses of the anti-Covid vaccine."
