Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay Hassan: Balancing Royal Duties and Education at 16

On the occasion of the sixteenth birthday of Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, the media Jeune Afrique has produced an article dealing with the official activities of the prince. Activities that he has undertaken since a very young age.
Jeune Afrique writes right away: "Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, who celebrates his sixteenth birthday on Wednesday, May 8, is multiplying trips and ceremonies. So many useful moments to learn the job of a king."
The same source specifies that "these official or protocol activities" do not exempt him from the normal follow-up of his schooling. And that he started them a long time ago, since he was 8 years old, as Jeune Afrique specifies: "The equestrian trophy presentations are no longer the only public outings of the prince who started the "job" at 8 years old, with a first speech at the Military Academy of Kenitra." Things he doesn’t learn at school but rather "an education."
The magazine recalls, among other things, that it was Moulay Hassan who welcomed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the end of February and that he attended the funeral of the Count of Paris, representing Morocco alongside the Moroccan ambassador to France, Chakib Benmoussa and Fouad Ali El Himma.
"In recent years, the crown prince has submitted to most of the public exercises that the king is accustomed to: he has presided over a rogatory prayer, attended the appointment of a government, reviewed troops, presented sports trophies, met with civil society figures..." adds Jeune Afrique.
It should be noted that El confidencial wrote in February: "The contrast between Moulay Hassan and the other European heirs under 18, namely a trio of heiresses: Princess Leonor, Amalia of the Netherlands and Elisabeth of Belgium, is striking. They all lead a life far removed from official programs." The same source also said of the prince’s activities during the visit of the King of Spain and his wife: "an additional step in his training as a future monarch."
