Morocco to Create Over 30,000 Public Sector Jobs in 2024 Budget Plan

The Moroccan state plans to create 30,034 positions in ministries and public institutions in 2024, according to the 2024 Finance Bill (PLF).
According to the explanatory note of the 2024 PLF, a total of 29,534 budgetary positions will be created for the benefit of ministries and public institutions, the majority of which will be allocated to the Ministry of the Interior (7,944), followed by the Directorate of National Defense (7,000), the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (5,500), the Ministry of Economy and Finance (2,600), the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (2,349), and the General Directorate of Prison Administration and Reintegration (1,000). The remaining sectors and institutions under their authority will benefit from the remaining positions, reports SNRT News.
In addition, 250 budgetary positions will be created for the benefit of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary. They are intended for judicial assistants at the end of their training and ready to join the judicial corps as judges. Another 250 positions are reserved for judicial assistants serving at the Ministry of Justice until December 31, 2023, and 300 positions for candidates declared admitted to the judicial assistant exam before that date. Furthermore, the creation of 20,000 budgetary positions is also planned for the regional academies of education and training, including 18,000 for teachers and 2,000 for educational and administrative support staff in schools.
