Morocco’s COVID-19 Response Showcases National Unity and Solidarity

If there are values that Morocco has revealed to the whole world during the current health crisis, it is the "cohesion and solidarity" shown by citizens. Faced with the common enemy, everyone has committed themselves and is actively playing their part.
Morocco is one of the few countries that, despite the ordeal, manages to cultivate values as noble as "cohesion and solidarity", writes the British online newspaper Byline Times. A "brilliant example of how members of society can help each other in such a time of crisis".
Jonathan Fenton, in an article titled "Morocco’s Cohesion and Solidarity is a Lesson for Us All", reports that "in a heartwarming display of solidarity, a large number of Moroccans gather on their rooftops to recite the Quran and pray; a sense of unity within society in full confinement," the author notes.
Between the inevitable health care and economic damage caused by COVID-19, the newspaper stresses that the "deep sense of hospitality and the salutary patriotism in Morocco have prompted citizens to unite to fight this virus and take care of those who will be affected".
So admiring of the dignity of the Moroccan people, despite the increasing number of cases of contamination, the author of the article stresses that "Morocco has shown the strength of decisive action and collective respect, to minimize the spread and damage of the virus". The article, while citing some testimonies from Moroccans, has "highlighted the far-sighted decisions of Mohammed VI and the adherence of the population".
