Morocco’s COVID-19 Recovery Rate Surpasses Global Average at 37.3%

More than two months after the first positive case of coronavirus was recorded, Morocco has exceeded the global average of recovery cases. According to the Ministry of Health, the recovery rate is 37.3% in the kingdom while the global average is 34%.
Over the past 24 hours, 179 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the number of recovered cases to 2017. As for the fatality rate, it is constantly decreasing, reaching 3.4% for 183 deaths (+2) compared to 7%, representing the global percentage.
Furthermore, the total number of cases excluded after laboratory tests has reached 47,550 since the start of the epidemic.
Regarding the geographical distribution, Casablanca-Settat, the region with the highest number of confirmed cases (26%), is followed by Marrakech-Safi (21%), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Fès-Meknès, and Drâa-Tafilalet.
As usual, the Ministry of Health calls on Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety, as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
