Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surge: Over 4,500 New Infections, 933 in Intensive Care

Morocco recorded 4,596 new cases of Coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected people is now 256,781.
Each day brings its share of people admitted to intensive care and resuscitation units. In the last 24 hours alone, 71 critical and severe cases have been detected, according to the daily covid-19 bulletin published by the Ministry of Health.
Out of the 42,708 active cases, 933 cases are admitted to the resuscitation and intensive care units. 73 cases are intubated, 504 are under non-invasive ventilation. The occupancy rate of the resuscitation beds dedicated to covid-19 has reached 36%, the same source specifies.
