Morocco Reports 4,702 New COVID-19 Cases, 133 Critical as Nationwide Surge Continues

Morocco recorded 4,702 new coronavirus infection cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number detected to 320,962.
Among the new cases recorded, there are 133 people in critical and severe condition. The cases of contamination do not spare any region of the country, and Casablanca-Settat takes the lion’s share with more than 1,000 people, reports the Ministry of Health in its daily Covid-19 bulletin.
According to the same source, the number of active cases stands at 48,995, of which 1,024 are admitted to intensive care and intensive care units. The total number of intubated cases is 93 and the cases under non-invasive ventilation are 396. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 decreases slightly and drops to 37%.
