Morocco’s Coronavirus Cases Surge to 1,141 as Death Toll Reaches 80

Morocco recorded new coronavirus cases overnight, bringing the total number of positive cases to 1,141.
According to the Ministry of Health, the number of people declared cured is 88, while the number of deaths due to coronavirus now stands at 80.
As for the total number of cases excluded after negative analysis results in the laboratory, it stands at 4,131.
Regarding the new distribution map, the 654 positive cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (332), Marrakech-Safi (201), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (186), Fès-Meknès (152), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (96), the Oriental (71), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (33), Daraa-Tafilalet (46), Souss-Massa (19), and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1).
Also, the ministry has called on citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities, showing responsibility and patriotism.
