Morocco Considers Easing Travel Restrictions to Boost Tourism Recovery

In order to support tourism professionals in the resumption of activities, the parliamentarians also called on the government to review the health protocol in Moroccan airports.
These are the elected members of the Popular Movement group led by Mohamed Ouzzine, who questioned the executive on the maintenance of the vaccine pass and the PCR test for travelers wishing to return to Morocco.
This measure is "a constraint, and could even impact the flow of tourists and therefore make it more difficult to revive a sector already in difficulty," said the MP, estimating that the PCR test generates additional costs and is unnecessary in cases where the vaccine pass meets health requirements.
According to him, "the cost of PCR tests is very high in some European countries. It can exceed 80 euros and is sometimes more expensive than the plane ticket." And he added that "airlines have made efforts to offer attractive offers, but the costs generated by the PCR tests are discouraging."
