Morocco Considers Dropping PCR Test Requirement for Air Travelers

Morocco could soon lift the PCR tests at the borders for travelers arriving by air. The authorities are very seriously examining the issue, according to the government spokesman.
At the insistent request of national tourism operators, "the government is studying this issue (lifting the PCR, ed.) in a serious and realistic manner," Mustapha Baitas reassured, noting that the government is covering all aspects of this file.
The spokesman also announced that the epidemiological situation is improving in the Kingdom. "Soon, new announcements will be made on this subject," he stressed.
According to tourism operators, this measure is a hindrance for foreign tourists. They are also supported by some scientists. This divergence represents "a contradiction" and "is not based on any scientific basis," said Saïd Moutawakil, member of the Scientific and Technical Committee against Covid-19, in an interview with SRNT News.
