Morocco Considers Allowing Fans for Final CAN 2022 Qualifier Against Burundi

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) could authorize supporters to go to the stadium on Tuesday, March 30 to support the Atlas Lions, who are playing their last match counting the 2022 CAN qualifiers.
Even if it won’t be a big crowd, this partial reopening will allow the players to feel revived and the supporters to reconnect with a passion they have missed so much. The FRMF had decided that the matches would be played behind closed doors to contribute to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a source quoted by Assabah, the leaders are thinking of a percentage, knowing that the Competitions Commission at CAF has paved the way for matches with the public from the 5th round of qualifications for the next Africa Cup of Nations. Some federations have managed to obtain authorization to distribute a limited number of tickets. This is the case of the Central African Republic, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, Niger, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania and Burundi.
Last Friday, the national team played against Mauritania, in the presence of a few hundred Mauritanian and Moroccan supporters.
