Morocco Condemns Violence at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Urges Dialogue

The recent violence observed in Al Quds Acharif and the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a concern for the Moroccan government. This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made known this Sunday.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad indicated that "Morocco, whose Sovereign HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, chairs the Al Quds Committee, considers these violations as an unacceptable act likely to stoke tensions".
Thus, Morocco "considers that unilateral measures are hardly the solution, just as it calls for promoting dialogue and respect for rights", the ministry’s statement said, adding that it is more than essential to protect the unique status of the city of Al Quds and to ensure the well-being of the Islamic symbol of the holy city and the sacred state of the Al Aqsa Mosque.
