The Covid-19 pandemic is not sparing the clothing sector in Morocco. International trade is severely impacted.
The Kingdom is therefore experiencing a real collapse of its exports: -42%. According to the BCT, a sharp contraction in activity has characterized the textile, clothing and leather (THC) industries, with the gloom of activity among the main partners and disruptions in the supply of inputs, which has led to a partial or even total halt in production. As a result, the volume of exports in this sector has collapsed.
The Moroccan sector, which has governance issues, will have to react quickly in order not to sink into the depths of the global ranking.
