Morocco’s Central Bank Achieves ISO 37001 Anti-Corruption Certification

The Anti-Corruption Management System (ACMS) has enabled Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) to obtain the ISO 37001 certification on Thursday in Rabat, following an audit carried out by EuroCompliance, one of the accredited firms to issue the certification.
The Governor of Bank Al-Maghrib, Abdellatif Jouahri, indicated that this certification remains an encouragement to make more efforts to permanently maintain the compliance of the system. MAP stressed that this award ceremony coincided with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Moroccan central bank.
This system, according to Abdellatif Jouahri, builds on those previously adopted by the Bank in terms of quality, environment, occupational health/safety and information security, the first certification of which was obtained in 2009, followed by the others in 2014 and 2016.
Present at the ceremony, the Minister of Labor affirmed that the fight against corruption is at the heart of the government’s priorities. For Mohamed Amkraz, the establishment of the national anti-corruption commission, the launch of the national complaints portal and the direct telephone line to report corruption, and the facilitation of administrative procedures, show the government’s determination to play its role in eradicating corruption.
