Morocco vs Central African Republic: Sold-Out Crowd Expected for AFCON Qualifier
Moroccan supporters rushed to buy tickets for the match between the Atlas Lions and the Central African Republic, scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the sports complex in Oujda.
This match is part of the qualifications for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco in 2025.
Despite the technical difficulties complained about by many supporters on social media, Moroccan fans, especially those from the Oriental region, managed to secure the majority of the available seats.
All the tickets were thus sold out, suggesting a massive turnout to support the Atlas Lions. It is estimated that more than 30,000 spectators could fill the stadium’s stands. They come from all regions of the kingdom.
The match will start at 8 p.m., Moroccan time. The return match will take place on the same pitch on Tuesday, October 15.
