Morocco Censors Book on Sexual Relations Ahead of Women’s Day Event

The Ministry of Culture has censored the book on "Sexual relations and their impact on family stability", which was to be presented on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Planned by the provincial directorate of the Ministry of Culture of Tetouan, the book on "Sexual relations and their impact on family stability" by Chaimae Ben Ali El Meknassi will not be presented in Tetouan on March 13, reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. And for good reason, its content deemed "bold and sensitive" by the reading committee.
The author of this work was unfortunately only informed of the reasons for this censorship after the final program of the day was printed. In her defense, the author stresses that her writing contains no offense to morals and ethics.
Continuing her explanations, Ben Ali El Meknassi had first thought that the level of the book and her working methodology were being questioned. She says she was rather surprised that instead of the level of the book, the reading committee censored "the title of the work and its content" because it would be detrimental to the sex life within couples.
Informed of this censorship, local associations have come forward to defend the work of the young author.
