Soon, in the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, the Béni Mansour Hydraulic Complex will be built. This project, presented in April 2016 before King Mohammed VI, is part of the 2019-2020 National Priority Program on Water and its Management.

With a total amount of 12 billion DH for an estimated capacity of 1.35 billion m3, the Hydraulic Complex will consist of 3 dams (Beni Mansour, Bouhdoud and Dar Mimoun) as well as other water transfer structures.

According to Medias24, the decree establishing the Directorate that will oversee the construction of this Complex was adopted on Thursday, September 19 by the Council of Government.

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Equipment, it will be responsible for the implementation of the project, the monitoring of the quality of the various works, the preparation of progress reports on the project and its accounting situation.

For the site, this Directorate will also be responsible for managing the transactions concluded with companies, consulting firms and laboratories, and even supervising the expropriation process of the real estate necessary for the realization of the project.

According to Medias24, the construction of this Hydraulic Complex will make it possible to meet the water needs of the North and Northeast regions, from Tangier to Oujda. And, for the realization of this project whose duration is estimated at 10 years, bidders will have to wait until 2020, the year of the launch of the tenders.
