Morocco to Build 300 MW Wind Farm in Boujdour, Advancing Renewable Energy Goals

A wind farm with a capacity of 300 MW will soon be built in Boujdour. The signing of the contracts for the implementation of this project took place between the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) and a group of companies (Integrated Wind Project 850 MW).
Located about 7 km northeast of the city of Boujdour, this park will mobilize an investment of around 4 billion dirhams. The second park of the Integrated Wind Project 850 MW, its gradual commissioning is scheduled from 2021.
This Integrated Wind Project 850 MW consists of five wind farms and aims to reach 52% of the installed electrical power based on renewable energy by 2030.
And it is the "Nareva Holding - Enel Green Power" consortium, associated with the manufacturer "Siemens Gamesa Renewables", which had won the international call for tenders in 2016 for the development, design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the Integrated Wind Project 850 MW.
