Morocco’s Budget Deficit Shrinks by 1.5 Billion Dirhams in November 2019

The budget deficit recorded at the end of November 2019 is 39.6 billion dirhams (MMDH) compared to 41.1 MMDH in November 2018. This is revealed by the statement of Treasury charges and resources (SCRT), prepared by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform.
In the SCRT, which is a statistical document, the Ministry of Economy states that the budget deficit has decreased by 1.5 MMDH.
According to the clarifications provided by the ministry, the situation produced by the General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR) has a fundamentally accounting character, while the SCRT apprehends the economic transactions carried out during a budgetary period.
It describes, in terms of flows, ordinary revenues and expenditures, investment expenditures, the budget deficit, the financing requirement and the financing mobilized to cover this requirement, notes the same source.
