Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave as Temperatures Soar Above 40°C

High, even scorching temperatures are expected this Sunday, May 3 in Morocco, according to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN).
This will be the case in most of the country, particularly in the northern and central plains, the Souss and the south of the country.
In the morning, the minimum temperatures should be between 7 and 13 degrees on the Atlas and Rif reliefs, 12 and 18 degrees on the Oriental, the Saiss, the Mediterranean, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the northern and central plains and 17 and 23 degrees on the Tadla, Rhamna, Souss, South-East and southern provinces.
In the afternoon, it will be between 26 and 30 degrees on the Atlas and the southern coasts, 30 and 36 degrees on the Oriental, the Mediterranean, the Saiss, the phosphate plateaus and the south-eastern slopes and 35 and 41 degrees on the northern and central plains, the Souss and the east of the southern provinces.
