Morocco Braces for Potential Fuel Price Surge as Oil Market Fluctuates

Even though pump prices have not moved, rumors suggest an inevitable "surge" in the prices of gasoline and diesel. According to indiscretions from the Association of Distributors, the price of diesel could exceed the 10 dirham mark, an increase of 36 cents per liter.
The rumors circulating about the surge in fuel prices indicate that the price of gasoline will be adjusted by 26 cents and will go from an average of 11.70 to nearly 12 dirhams.
According to Article19.ma, a spokesperson for the National Competition Council refrained from commenting on this information, noting that it is the sudden surge in oil prices this week that has revived the threat of a shortage and the likelihood of a new oil shock.
Oil prices would be fluctuating on the European market, contrary to information that Saudi production was not fully restored.
According to several sources, the level of production has been fully restored in Saudi Arabia, two weeks after the armed attacks on the Aramco refinery and, therefore, much earlier than expected.
