Morocco Braces for More Severe Thunderstorms and Wind Gusts

Heavy thunderstorms with gusts of wind are still expected on Friday in several regions of Morocco, according to the National Meteorology Directorate.
The bad weather continues in Morocco with locally heavy thunderstorms accompanied by gusts of wind and hail in places. They will affect several provinces of the Kingdom this Friday.
According to a special orange level bulletin from the DMN, these thunderstorms will affect, from 00:00 to 12:00, the provinces of Safi, El Jadida, Casablanca, Rabat, Essaouira, Kénitra, Mohammedia, Nouasser, Youssoufia, Berrechid, Ben Slimane, Témara-Skhirat, Salé, Sidi Bennour and Mediouna.
These showers will also hit the provinces of Azilal, El Haouz, Béni Mellal, Boulemane, Taroudant, Taza, Khénifra, Settat, Sefrou, Fqih Ben Salah and Midelt from 12:00 to midnight.
In addition, moderate showers are also expected this afternoon and tonight in El Haouz, Meknès, El Hajeb, Chefchaouen, Boulemane, Ouazzane, Khénifra and Khémissat.
As for the fairly strong gusts of wind (60 to 75 km/h), they are to be feared today in the northern and central plains, the highlands, the southeast and the Saiss, and will be localized on Friday in the Atlas, the southeast, Rhamna and Tensift.
