Morocco to Boost Social Security Pensions by 5% in 2020

The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) plans to increase retirement pensions by 5%, effective January 1, 2020.
This increase "must not be less than 100 dirhams as a minimum threshold," said a source within the Fund, the day after the CNSS Board of Directors meeting.
According to the same source, this measure is part of the "important decisions" adopted by the Council chaired by the Minister of Labor and Professional Integration, Mohamed Amkraz.
During this meeting, the exemption from any member of the increases resulting from the delay in the payment of contributions was also approved. This is in addition to penalties and prosecution fees, as part of the payment facilities. Before benefiting from it, the user must first pay the full amount of the installments and the outstanding amount during the rescheduling period.
Note that this measure, which concerns the year 2016 and previous fiscal years, will cover the period from January 1 to December 31, 2020. The Board of Directors also approved the program of actions and the budget of the Fund for the general scheme and the Mandatory Health Insurance (AMO) scheme for the 2020 fiscal year, it is indicated.
