Morocco Begins Reimbursement Process for Overseas Citizens’ 2021 Ferry Travel

Moroccans living abroad who returned by boat to Morocco as part of the Marhaba operation from June 15 to September 30, 2021, will be partially reimbursed in accordance with royal instructions. The reimbursement procedures have been launched on the dedicated platform.
These reimbursement requests are individual, recalls the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water in a press release, noting that the reimbursement files for the tickets of minor children must be submitted by the legal guardian and accompanied by the necessary supporting documents (family record or birth certificate extract).
Moroccans living abroad holding foreign passports are called upon to download in PDF format the first three pages of the passport and the page bearing the entry stamp affixed by the border police, as well as proof of Moroccan nationality.
Otherwise, and in the case of travel with a Moroccan passport, the applicant is invited to download his foreign residence card in order to prove his eligibility for partial reimbursement.
In addition, the round-trip tickets to be downloaded must have been issued by the shipping company with which the trip was made, bearing the name of the applicant and the exact amount of the trip, the press release specifies.
"If the traveler chooses a bank transfer reimbursement, he is invited to enter the number of his personal bank account and to download the bank account details of his account opened with a Moroccan bank," it is added.
