Morocco Begins Clinical Trials of Chinese COVID-19 Vaccine with 2,000 Volunteers

After signing two cooperation agreements with the Chinese laboratory CNBG for clinical trials of a vaccine against the coronavirus, the health authorities have launched calls for trials to which several hundred Moroccans have responded.
These trials, in which nearly 2,000 people are expected to participate, will be launched this week, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. The participants, aged between 18 and 59, will undergo several medical tests before proceeding with the trials.
The objective is to examine their state of health (chronic diseases or Covid-19 infections). Once this stage is passed, the vaccine will be generalized and extended to various segments of Moroccan society, indicates the same source.
For now, two doses of the new vaccine are estimated at 1,200 dirhams.
