Morocco’s Aymen Barkok Undergoes Successful Emergency Appendix Surgery

Victim of an appendicitis attack at the end of last week, Moroccan international Aymen Barkok, was operated on urgently on Monday, successfully.
The operation took place in a clinic in Casablanca. This inflammation prevented him from taking part in the Atlas Lions’ match against Liberia (2-1) as part of the 2023 CAN qualifiers.
Still hospitalized, the midfielder received a visit on Tuesday from national coach Vahid Halilhodzic, who came to inquire about his state of health.
To recall, the Moroccan, who plays in the Bundesliga, was recently transferred to Mainz 05 from his training club Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom he won the last Europa League.
