Morocco’s Avocado Exports Surge 60%, Set to Break Annual Record

Morocco has recorded a record increase in its avocado exports by volume during the season and could repeat the feat during the 2022/23 season (July-June).
Morocco exported a record volume of avocados during the period from July 2022 to January 2023, 35,500 tons, or 60% more than during the same months of the previous season. According to the specialized website EastFruit, Moroccan exporters have every chance of setting a new record for avocado exports for the 2022/23 season (July-June). They would only need to export more than 7,000 tons of avocados to foreign markets to exceed the total exports of the previous season.
