Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses Await Ghana-Algeria Clash in Women’s AFCON Semifinal Showdown

Qualified for the semifinals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations it is hosting, the Moroccan national team will know this Saturday the identity of its opponent in the semifinals. The future opponent of the Atlas Lionesses will be the team that emerges victorious from the quarterfinal match between Ghana and Algeria.
The Moroccan team secured its place for the rest of the competition yesterday, Friday, July 18, by winning 3-1 against Mali. The match took place on the pitch of the Rabat Olympic Stadium as part of the quarterfinals of the tournament, which will continue until July 26.
It is therefore the match of the day that will attract all the attention of the host selection. The confrontation between Ghana and Algeria is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Berkane Municipal Stadium. The stake for the two teams is a qualification for the semifinals, where Morocco is waiting for them.
To reach this stage of the competition, the Ghanaian team had finished second in group C in the group stage, totaling four points. The Algerian selection, on the other hand, validated its ticket for the quarterfinals by finishing second in group B, with five points.
