Morocco’s Assistant Coach Hadji Under Scrutiny After Shock Home Defeat

Assistant coach Mustapha Hadji is in the sights of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). And this, because of the home defeat of the Atlas Lions against the Gabonese Panthers.
The defeat of the Atlas Lions will not go without consequences. Among the heads targeted to bear responsibility for this unfortunate fall of the national team at home is that of the former Moroccan international, now assistant coach.
According to Le360, the team will undergo a major upheaval before the next match of the Atlas Lions, scheduled for November 15 in Rabat as part of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. And the name of the African Ballon d’Or 1998 would be at the top of the list.
The same source reports that the successor to Hadji, in the line of sight of the national institution, is a national cadre informed about Moroccan players playing abroad, but also in Botola.
In addition to the unshakable Mustapha Hadji, the other assistant coaches would also be targeted by this decision, in the wake of the last two matches of the Lions, against Libya and Gabon, the same media points out, noting that this choice would also be motivated by the Hamdallah file.
Indeed, a few days before the Morocco-Gabon match, the assistant coach, Mustapha Hadji, informed Vahid Hallilhodzic of Hamdallah’s decision not to return to the national team.
This information, immediately denied by Hamdallah on Instagram and on Radio Mars, has undermined the FRMF, which certainly does not intend to leave this misstep unpunished.
It should be noted that Hadji, in office since 2014, has worked with Badou Zaki, Hervé Renard and now Vahid Halilhodzic.
