Morocco Arrests Dozen Migrants Attempting to Cross into Spanish Enclave of Ceuta

Morocco has arrested a dozen young people who tried to cross the border into Ceuta. Since the mass entry on May 17 and 18 of thousands of Moroccan migrants into the Spanish enclave, the Moroccan security forces have been on maximum alert.
Morocco has tightened border controls since the start of the Ceuta migration crisis. Moroccan security forces are now on the lookout and deter any attempt at illegal immigration. On Monday, a dozen young people trying to illegally enter Ceuta were arrested by Moroccan agents.
Other young people also tried to enter the city of Ceuta, through the Benzú fence. The Spanish security forces were immediately deployed throughout the area to prevent any new attempt at mass entry into Ceuta.
Recently, rumors announcing the reopening of the Moroccan borders have led several Moroccan and foreign-origin young people to attempt the crossing.
