Morocco Arrests 16 Organized Crime Suspects for France
Sixteen people suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, murders, fraud and money laundering cases have been arrested in Morocco. France has launched proceedings targeting its nationals.
Gérald Darmanin announced these arrests in a message posted on X. The French Justice Minister describes it as a "major operation" conducted as part of strengthening judicial cooperation between Paris and Rabat.

"I thank our Moroccan friends who recently arrested 16 individuals involved in serious criminal acts," he declared, citing in particular organized drug trafficking.
Dual nationals cannot be extradited
France has initiated extradition requests for suspects holding only French nationality.
Since dual nationals cannot be extradited, official denunciations have been transmitted so they can be prosecuted and tried by Moroccan authorities, according to Gérald Darmanin.
