Morocco Announces 28-Player Squad for Cape Verde and South Africa Matches

Coach Walid Regragui has just called up 28 players for a preparation camp that will take place at the Mohammed VI Football Complex for the two matches of the Atlas Lions against Cape Verde on June 12 in Rabat and South Africa on June 17 in Johannesburg.
We note in this list the absence of players from the national championship. Due to their obligations to their respective clubs, these players were not selected for these matches, a decision taken in agreement with the National Professional Football League (LNFP), says a statement from the FRMF, except for two goalkeepers: Mehdi Benabid from FUS Rabat and Youssef Moutii from Wydad Casablanca.
Similarly, the coach has worked with Issame Charaï, the coach of the U23 national team. The players from the "A" team under 23 will thus be available for the U23 selection to better prepare for the next U23 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from June 24 to July 8, 2023.
