Morocco and Spain Explore Joint Defense Industry Collaboration

The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration, received Angel Olivares Ramirez, the Spanish Secretary of State for Defense. On the agenda, among other things: the potential for a defense industry.
According to a press release from the National Defense Administration, this meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Morocco as well as the Spanish military attaché. The General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces was also represented.
This visit by Angel Olivares Ramirez will last 2 days and he is also accompanied by a large delegation including several executives of Spanish industrial companies. The Moroccan Deputy Minister and the Spanish Secretary of State for Defense seem to have agreed, during their initial talks, on the existence of promising prospects for bilateral and regional cooperation in the field of the defense industry.
The existing potentials in the fields of shipyards, aeronautical industries as well as what relates to the manufacture of mobility vehicles were discussed.
And of course, before delving into these military industry issues, they also discussed the excellence of relations in the field of defense, the fight against terrorism, the management of the migration crisis, and reaffirmed their willingness to always move forward in their cooperation in these areas.
