Morocco and Nigeria Draw 0-0 in U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Clash

The Atlas Cubs shared points with Nigeria (0-0) this Sunday in Cairo, during their second match of the U20 AFCON Egypt 2025. A goalless draw that keeps both teams neck and neck at the top of Group B.
On the pitch of the June 30 Stadium, the first half saw Mohamed Ouahbi’s men control the game, creating several interesting situations without finding the breakthrough. The Nigerians, relying on counterattacks, rarely troubled goalkeeper Yanis Benchaouch and the well-positioned Moroccan defense.
The scenario largely repeated itself after the break. Despite intentions and a few opportunities on both sides, the attackers remained silent, either running into vigilant defenses or lacking precision in the final touch to turn the game around.
This sharing of points nevertheless allows Morocco to retain the lead in Group B with 4 points, ahead of Nigeria only on goal difference. Tunisia is third with 3 points, while Kenya remains last with zero points.
The next fixture is already shaping up to be crucial for the Cubs. They will face Tunisia next Wednesday at 4 pm, a decisive match to validate their qualification for the next stage of the competition.
