Morocco and Israel Strengthen Cultural Ties: Research Centers Sign Hebrew Law Cooperation Agreement

Two research centers in Morocco and Israel have signed an agreement on the promotion of culture and Hebrew law in Morocco.
It is the Aharon and Rachel Dahan Center of Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv and the Center for Studies and Research on Hebrew Law in Essaouira that have concluded a protocol on joint research and publications, as well as on academic programs dedicated to the culture and law of the Jews in Morocco, reports I24 News.
On this occasion, Shimon Ohayon, director of the Dahan Center, welcomed the official resumption of relations between the two countries, adding that "we are delighted to enhance the memory, customs and institutions of Moroccan Hebrew law, and to initiate studies on Hebrew law and Muslim law, thus highlighting the Judeo-Islamic legal heritage of Morocco."
For his part, Abderrahim Beyyoud, head of the Moroccan liaison office in Israel, said that "this conference, which is the first of its kind since the resumption of relations, is of great importance for Moroccan-Israeli relations."
It should be recalled that this cooperation was signed during a conference held on November 8 in Israel, attended by a Moroccan delegation, the media specifies.
