Morocco and Israel Sign Civil Aerospace Deal, Boosting Investment and Cooperation

Morocco and Israel signed on Wednesday a cooperation agreement on civil aerospace projects, which will help attract investments from the company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
The partnership was signed in Rabat by the Minister of Industry Ryad Mezzour and the CEO of IAI Amir Peretz, according to a press release, specifying that it is part of the implementation of the joint declaration between Morocco and Israel, signed in December 2020 in Rabat.
The two parties have indeed targeted investment opportunities mainly focused on 3D printing, cabin interior manufacturing and engine parts and aerostructures, as well as the establishment of an R&D and engineering center and the development of a network of local suppliers through sourcing partnerships with IAI.
"This is a strategic partnership... which paves the way for a win-win aerospace industrial cooperation," said Mezzour, adding that Morocco aspires to attract IAI investments in highly technological fields, including engineering, innovation and maintenance.
