Morocco’s Video Analyst Confident Ahead of World Cup Semi-Final Against France

Video analyst for the Red Devils a few years ago, Moussa El Habchi has held the same position since March 2020 with the Atlas Lions. He is one of those who think that Morocco has the same chances as France in the semi-final this Wednesday, December 14.
Moussa El Habchi is one of those who contribute to Morocco’s success during this World Cup. His role is to analyze the opponent in order to put in place, in collaboration with the coach and the technical staff, the appropriate strategy and technical plan to counter them. "One of the strengths of the Moroccan staff: knowing the potential of their opponent and above all exploiting their own to the fullest," explains the video analyst, a DJ in his spare time, reports Le Soir.
For him, Morocco’s journey is not the result of chance. It is the result of hard work. "Before the tournament, we analyzed the performances of African countries in the last World Cups. Either they had a bad goalkeeper, or in all their enthusiasm, they were too lax defensively." The technical staff therefore decided to do things differently, creating the surprise. "We defend like the Europeans and we attack like the Moroccans, with fast and technically strong players. We found the right cocktail."
Moussa El Habchi is not the only one assigned to this mission. "With two other people, I am responsible for the complete analysis of the opponent. With drones and cameras, we also film our training sessions. And in consultation with the coach, we put together short clips for the players or we briefly summarize the points on which they should focus their attention."
Unlike some, the analyst is not at all afraid of the duel between Morocco and France. For him, it will be a battle on equal terms, even if the Blues have a record of participation in the World Cup. "France knows that they won’t walk all over us easily. We don’t play naively." For him, appointing Walid Regragui at the head of a team made up mainly of dual nationals is ingenious. "The Moroccan federation has looked for the right person to unite everyone. Regragui was born in France, but he won the African Champions League with Wydad Casablanca. He has created unity within the team and he has instilled a mentality of surpassing oneself. For us, football is 20% tactics and 80% spirit."
Moussa El Habchi wants to continue dreaming to the end. As long as the end of the match is not whistled, everything is still possible, according to him. He confides that he has already analyzed Argentina, in case Morocco qualifies for the final.
