Morocco Allows Night Football During Ramadan, Exempts Players from Curfew

The Minister of the Interior has instructed local authorities to issue special permits to professional football players and their staff, allowing them to move freely for matches as well as for training sessions in the evenings of Ramadan.
The special permit will thus allow players to join the training centers, and clubs to travel from city to city to play the Botola matches, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
The Minister of the Interior granted this exemption following a request made by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) given that many matches will be played in the evening during the holy month and during this period, many staff prefer the evening for training sessions, details the newspaper.
To recall, the government has prohibited nighttime travel during the month of Ramadan, this throughout the Kingdom from 8 pm to 6 am in an effort to fight the spread of new variants reported in certain regions of Morocco.
