Morocco’s Air Travel Boom: Airbus Forecasts Need for 260 New Aircraft by 2038

Morocco would need at least 260 new aircraft by 2038 to cope with the growth of travelers in its airports. This is what the Director of Marketing for Airbus Africa and the Middle East, Bertrand Lestime, has just declared.
Since 2002, demand has only been increasing and, according to forecasts, this growth will require 210 small aircraft, 41 and 9 medium and large aircraft, respectively.
The President of Airbus Africa and the Middle East, Mikail Houari, said that for more than 50 years, Airbus has become an important industrial partner of Morocco, in particular thanks to the subsidiary, Stelia Aerospace, with an investment in the range of 60 million dollars over three years.
Last year, Airbus Helicopters and Heliconia expanded their partnership with the creation of a new Maintenance Center in Marrakech for H125 and H135 type helicopters, operated in West Africa. This new Center is adding to the Airbus network, which has four other centers on the African continent.
