Morocco Aims for Historic Third AFCON Title in U23 Final Against Egypt
National coach Issame Charaï spoke to the press on Friday, in the context of the final between Morocco and Egypt in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations. This match will take place tomorrow, Saturday, July 8.
Charaï sees this final as an opportunity for Morocco to win a third AFCON in all categories. It is, according to him, "a match for history".
Regarding the Pharaohs’ defense, described as formidable, Charaï remains optimistic, recalling the ambition of his players who survived a grueling semi-final against Mali (2-2, p.s. 4-3).
Ayman El Wafi, for his part, mentioned the friendly atmosphere within the selection and the team spirit that unites the 25 players competing for the match.
