Morocco has made qualitative leaps in the economic field over the past ten years, and aims to be among the 50 best economies in the world.
According to the Arab news site Sky News, Morocco intends to be among the 50 best economies in the world in the business field in 2021. Currently, it is only 3 points away from achieving this goal. Last year, the kingdom occupied the 53rd place out of 190 countries in the World Bank’s Doing Business report, gaining 7 points compared to 2019.
This global ranking is based on several indicators related to the improvement of the business climate, including property transfer, business creation, cross-border trade, etc., Sky News specifies, recalling the reforms undertaken since 2010 by Morocco to improve the business environment, in particular the establishment of a public-private joint commission whose objective is to simplify administrative procedures, improve transparency and modernize business law, the creation of free trade zones, the provision of facilities and tax exemptions for investors, the creation of an international financial center in Casablanca...
For the site, Morocco could integrate this year the list of the 50 best economies in the world in terms of improving the business climate, adding that the achievement of this objective should help the kingdom to attract more foreign investment.
