Morocco Aims to Boost Domestic Manufacturing in Post-Pandemic Economic Revival

Moulay Hafid Elalamy, the Minister of Industry, wishes to revive industrial units after this health crisis. The aim is to preserve industrial activity and revive a more sustainable economic model that would promote "made in Morocco".
A restart in "order, serenity and seriousness". This is the wish of Moulay Hafid Elalamy, the minister in charge of industry. He spoke to the press during his visit on Thursday to the factory of the Moroccan Automotive Construction Company (Somaca). The objective is to inquire about the health measures deployed in preparation for the restart of this company.
According to the minister, the aim is to preserve industrial and automotive activity in particular, a sector that has not been spared by the coronavirus pandemic. He also insists on a more sustainable economic model that would promote "made in Morocco". But first, industrial companies must guarantee the safety of their personnel.
The minister also stated that King Mohammed VI is following these operations with great interest and that his instructions are extremely clear regarding the protection of the health of Moroccans.
