Morocco’s AFCON Prep Match Against Gambia Canceled as Team Heads to Ivory Coast

The Moroccan national football team will fly on Sunday, January 7, 2024 to San Pedro to participate in the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. The match against Gambia, scheduled for the same day, will therefore be canceled.
Initially, the team was supposed to play against the Gambia team, but this match has been canceled. Instead, a training match is scheduled for January 11 in San Pedro. This will allow the team to prepare and adjust before the start of the competition.
Under the leadership of coach Walid Regragui, the Moroccan national team is in full preparation. The players gathered at the Mohammed VI football sports complex for a training session on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. This session lasted about an hour and 20 minutes.
The journey of the Moroccan national team will begin with its first match against Tanzania on Wednesday, January 17, at 6 p.m., at the Laurent Pokou stadium. It will then face the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday, January 21 and end its group matches against Zambia on Wednesday, January 24.
