Morocco Adopts 2023 Budget Bill Focused on Social Welfare and Economic Revival

The day after the Council of Ministers chaired by King Mohammed VI, the Government Council met in Rabat and proceeded to adopt the draft finance law (PLF) for the year 2023 and the accompanying texts.
Chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, the Government Council, before adoption, examined the details of this draft law drawn up in accordance with the guidelines contained in the King’s speeches, therefore in harmony with the recommendations of the new development model, indicates a press release from the ministry in charge of Relations with Parliament.
According to the same source, the 2023 PLF focuses on "strengthening the foundations of the social state, reviving the national economy through support for investment, establishing territorial equity and restoring budgetary margins to ensure the sustainability of reforms".
This 2023 PLF was developed "to be a true consecration of the foundations of the social state, an effective start to the new Investment Charter and a response to the needs of a decent life for all citizens," the statement said.
